The menu here very aptly states, “Calling stuffed parathas ‘Mughlais’ may raise eyebrows but these are no ordinary parathas” — and luckily it is only too easy to agree! Available with egg, chicken and mutton stuffings, these heavenly parathas and their fillings simply melt in the mouth.
They are served with a small serving of vegetables, and manage to score just right in the taste, texture and flavour departments. Their chicken mince is sauteed with the correct amount of spices and the egg coating blends well.
I personally found the chicken paratha to be the better choice over the other two for its stuffing, moderate spiciness and generous butter-laden top! The best thing about this place is that if you are craving for parathas at home, all you have to do is order on Twitter — the store has an awesome online order system for delivering food home. Faaso’s is otherwise famous for its kathi rolls, with several different fillings and combinations.

Foodies
The recipe of their lip-smacking Mughlai parathas has remained intact for the last 11 years. Head chef and owner Sudhir Kakkar makes sure each paratha is made by him. Available in chicken, egg and chicken and cheese, the parathas are soft, filling and taste consistently awesome every time you visit.
The chicken and cheese paratha is heaven — a crispy paratha topped with a huge chunk of freshly grated cheese, deliciously melted. The crunch of the paratha goes perfectly with the moist cheesy topping and the spicy filling — you won’t be able to stop at just one.
The parathas are prepared from scratch on order and the chef insists that you club it with nothing because the taste is lost when eaten with an accompaniment. Also remember to keep room for their chocolate mousse — soft, creamy and just the right amount of sweet. I suggest you have it chilled.
Location: Kondhwa
Price: Rs 100, with cheese Rs 125
Cafe Euthanasia
The paratha here is rolled in egg and stuffed with chicken in a pleasingly authentic style that makes for the perfect bite. The chicken stuffing they have is that old favourite ‘Mom’s shredded chicken’ style that is brilliant to gorge on with roti or bread.
The onions in it are just right as well, and manages to not overpower the meat. According to the chef here, it goes really well with their Szechuan sauce. This garlic sauce is made at the Cafe itself and the recipe of both the paratha and the sauce are closely guarded by the chef. This joint has a cosy ambience with reasonable prices. A perfect place for students and families.
Location: Siddharth Court, off Dhole Patil Road

Kareem’s
Priced reasonably, the kheema Mughlai paratha here is just the right blend of spice and meat. The kheema filling is spicy and tastes great with the green pudina chutney served alongside.
Made right in front of you in an open kitchen, the chef readily agrees to minor changes as per your suggestion while dishing it out. Available in chicken and mutton, the parathas are one of the best things on the menu here.
The mutton paratha wins for its juicy meaty flavour and the perfect amount of spices, in typical Kareem’s style. Priced reasonably, the parathas fill your tummy and are easy on your pocket too. From their kebabs to curries, this place dishes out some lip-smacking items that are hard to ignore.
