Richmond (Baker’s Stop)
Famous for its Chocolate Almond Ice cream, Richmond several options to choose from when it comes to ice creams. As strawberry season approaches, the kind gentleman behind the counter is happy to introduce his version of strawberries and cream as well.
Served in a plastic glass, this is a mix of fresh strawberries with vanilla ice cream. You can either have it with a huge scoop of vanilla softy at the base and strawberry pieces on top, or ask for it to be blended.
The blend is creamy, syrupy and tasty. It is not really heavy and I managed to gulp down two glasses! You can also ask them to revamp the mixture as per your choice, though the owner insists you try his traditional recipe.
Once in this tiny store, the fresh aroma of cakes and rolls being freshly prepared tempt you to stay back and grab a bite. You can also choose from an array of sandwiches and rolls as well as lip-smacking pastries baked right in front of you.

Bagicha
As a child, trips to Mahableshwar were a treat only because of the delectable strawberries and cream. The same taste and flavour is now in Pune at Bagicha’s branch in the city. Served in a tall glass, this delicious item tastes best chilled.
The moment you enter here, you are tempted to order their signature dish as the walls and tables scream out loud in pink with strawberry prints. It is served here as a mix of ice cream, whipped cream and a generous amount of fresh strawberries neatly arranged in layers, just like you’d find in Mahableshwar.
Other items on the menu are reminiscent of the hill station as well, with a Corn Cheese Chutney Sandwich (Rs 60) which is soft, buttery, sweet and cheesy. The grilled option comes with grated cheese on top that just melts in your mouth.
This place also offers a twist in the original dessert, replacing the whipped cream with chocolate cream. The strawberries are dipped in chocolate and vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce and cream, served cold. This innovation is worth a try too!

We all swear by the chocolate items available here, but this place takes you by surprise with the wide range of strawberry variations it offers. Topping the list is their Strawberries and Cream. Prepared from fresh strawberries and in-house whipped cream, the presentation of this dish is perfect to set the mood on a first date.
You tend to fall in love with it at first sight — a bowl layered first with vanilla ice cream, topped with strawberry syrup and fresh strawberry pieces and then topped up with a generous helping of fresh whipped cream – all repeated thrice! This takes less than 10 minutes to get to your table, and probably around 10 seconds to wolf down. Otherwise a haven for chocolate lovers, this place serves almost every form of the ingredient, from chocolate puddings to pizzas.

Darshan
When you have fresh strawberries brought in every morning all the way from Mahableshwar, the dish made from them just has to be delectable. At Darshan, expect to be greeted by a fridge with a glass door that displays neatly stacked bowls of strawberries and cream tempting your right away.
Plus, for all those keeping check on their weight, the item here is made with fresh strawberries, and this low fat and zero calorie cream. The cream is whipped efficiently, making it amazingly fluffy and light on the tummy too.
The strawberries blend so well with the cool cream that they literally melt in your mouth! Every day, the restaurant brings in 10 kgs of strawberries, to be almost all sold out by the end of the day. Other specialities here are the pastas, baked pot pies, french fries, garlic bread and mashed potatoes.

This place just never lets you down, be it their parathas, chole batura or pav bhaji. But one thing you must not miss here is the strawberries and cream.
Served through the year, this dessert comes in a huge bowl that is enough to sate the appetites of two people, or one really hungry person! After gorging on their butter-laden parathas or pulav, make sure you order this delight. It comes with strawberry ice cream, strawberry syrup and fresh strawberry pieces strewn in a bowl.
The whipped cream is carefully placed over this setting and when you dig in, the cream mixes just right with all the layers so that you have the perfect pink spoonful. Pure bliss!
