Five years ago, this small time actress made big news when her then boyfriend approached the Sessions Court, claiming she had attempted to implicate him in a false criminal case.
Five years later, Flora Saini has resurfaced and how! Mirror has it the actress, who made her Bollywood debut with a rather forgettable romcom titled Love in Nepal (2004), has now been inducted into the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as a panel member, no less.
While Flora remained unavailable for comment, a source from the CBFC office at Walkeshwar confirmed the news and added, “The members are appointed by the I&B Ministry. Certain people from the film fraternity are often selected. Flora is only one such.”
Flora has been quite the mystery woman for long now. In 2006, she all but disappeared with murmurs about her being producer Doshi’s girlfriend.
In February 2007, she reappeared when Doshi sought anticipatory bail from court, refuting Flora’s allegations that he had physically assaulted and intimidated her on Valentine’s Day. Flora had registered a complaint at the Versova Police Station.
Flora has a few assignments down south however Hindi films have been eluding her, after her not-so-memorable debut. Needless to say, CBFC comes as a welcome break for her.
