For the past three days, policemen from different units have been visiting terror suspect Mohsin Choudhari’s family residence located in a lane in Mithanagar, Kondhwa.

The family was unaware of why they were constantly being visited by cops. Only on Monday did they come to know that the family member they have not seen for four years, had been spotted on the CCTV footage obtained after the August 1 blasts in the city.

Mirror visited the family on Monday and spoke to Choudhari’s younger brother, who refused to give his name. “Mohsin left home on the Eid of 2008 and had not called or turned up for the last four years. His wife and two children are waiting for him,” he said.

“If he is innocent, he should produce himself to the police or at least surrender before the courts. He could do it for his family. We have faced much trouble in the past four years. One of my brothers Akbar has been jailed in Ahmedabad under terror charges, while Mohsin is on the run. We do not know what to do in such a situation,” he added.

“Police have been visiting the family since Thursday. Earlier, the teams used to visit once or twice every two months. But the last three days were hectic for the family. However, none of the officers have been harassing us.

They limited their enquiries about Mohsin and left. We have no information to offer them. We simply want Mohsin to come back and surrender,” Choudhari’s brother concluded tiredly.

ATS officers are maintaining that Mohsin handled the August 1 serial bomb blast attempts at Jangli Maharaj Road. He has been spotted in one of the CCTV footage grabs recorded at Phadke Houd chowk from where three bicycles were purchased by the suspects.
