Raising the bra
For generously-endowed women, finding a bra that fits comfortably enough can be a real challenge. Now, the first ever super-size L-cup bra has been manufactured to help solve the problem, reports the Daily Mail. Bravissimo have launched the jumbo bra in cup sizes D to L in black, nude, white and petal pink.
A spokesman for the company said, “Almost 80 per cent of women are wearing the wrong size [bra].
Our research has shown that up to 40 per cent of women should be wearing a D-cup and above — even if they don’t yet know it. We believe the UK average bra size is actually a 34E.”
Taking the cake
A shrivelled 30-year-old piece of confectionery, said to be from Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding cake, has sold for USD 290 on a New Zealand Internet auction site.
Christchurch woman Katrina Greenslade auctioned the slice of royal history on auction site Trade Me, claiming it had been in family since 1981.The winner, known only as Paul, fought off numerous bidders for the cake, which attracted 40,000 hits on the site.
Greenslade said the bite-sized morsel was obtained by her father, a sergeant in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
A New Zealand woman was temporarily partially paralysed by a “love bite” on her neck from her amorous partner, doctors reported in the New Zealand Medical Journal.
The 44-year-old woman went to the emergency department of Middlemore Hospital in Auckland last year after experiencing loss of movement in her left arm.
“Because it was a love bite there would be a lot of suction,” one of the doctors who treated her, Teddy Wu, told the Christchurch Press.
The woman recovered after being treated with an anti-coagulant.
