A 29-year-old man, who became a father at the age of 14, is set to create a record by becoming Britain's youngest grandfather, after his 14-year-old daughter has become pregnant, a media report said. “It’s like history repeating itself. I quite like the idea of being the youngest grandad in Britain, but at the same time I’m fuming that she (daughter) is pregnant.
I know myself how tough it is being a teenage parent and now she has to go through the same thing.”However, we’re all going to stand by her and we will welcome the little one into the family. She is very young, but she was determined to keep the child. We’re not going to force her into doing anything else. We don't want her to hate us,” Daily Mail quoted as saying the man without revealing his identity to protect his young daughter.
A lucky escape
A marauding monkey that terrorized resort towns in central Japan last year by biting nearly 120 people has escaped captivity. Officials in Mishima City said the monkey slipped out of the government-run nature park it had been kept at since its capture last October when a keeper was cleaning its cage.
The city published an emergency notice urging residents to lock their doors, though no new attacks have been reported. The fugitive monkey, known as “Lucky,” is a type of macaque that is one of the most common wild mammals in Japan.
They are considered a nuisance in rural areas, where they damage crops and steal food. Lucky has proved a tough catch in the past, avoiding citywide monkey hunts during its previous two month biting spree.
For donkey’s years
He was born the same year Tommy Steele was topping the charts and the Russians sent Sputnik into space. Like his famous namesake, he’s been around for donkey’s years — but at the age of 54, Eeyore is being hailed as the oldest living donkey in the world.
Believed to be born in 1957, he is now a Guinness World Record contender for oldest donkey in the world.
The animal named after the gloomy Winnie the Pooh character has outlived other donkeys whose lifespan is usually 25-30 years. Like his Winnie the Pooh namesake, Eeyore is prone to glumness — perhaps because he keeps outliving his animal companions, Daily Mail reports.
