I really appreciate and enjoy simple home-made healthy food, especially vegetarian. I prefer Maharashtrian dishes which are healthy and simple.

If I go out to eat, it has to be Wadeshwar for its authentic south-Indian food which I cannot resist. I also love continental food for which Polka Dots is my first choice.

The only problem is the distance so I end up eating at Deccan Rendezvous instead. Comfort food is all about eating when you are hungry. It should not be elaborate and should just satisfy the urge eating something delicious.

This is when I go back to aamti-bhat and pohe. Pohe is an eternal favourite, which I love to eat and also enjoying making. I make as often as possible. I sometimes improvise on the recipe by adding veggies like peas and others.

In Alibaug where I hold my classes, they add tondli to the pohe and it tastes great. Ialso enjoy cooking pasta with different seasonings. My children are huge pasta fans. In fact, if things went their way, they will have pasta for every meal.

They can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, whenever we go to any pizza parlour, they bypass the pizza and just order pasta.
