I am a complete home-food person. For me a simple meal of veggies made at home works as comfort food. I relish every vegetable and I am not fussy about anything.

For several years, I have been carrying lunch on the sets. After my meals, buttermilk is a must and I make it a point to carry it along.

This is one thing I share with the people during the shoot. Ilove the food made in the typical Konkani style. A combination of rice, fish curry, bangda fry and solkadi is an all-time favourite.

I can have it at any time of the day and for any number of days. My day starts with an omelette.

I quite enjoy frying an egg and believe I make an excellent omelet. I do love non-vegetarian food, but it has to be made at home.

I am not finicky about food but I like certain dishes in a particular preparation like I prefer soft noodles with different Chinese preparations or roasted food over others.

I love continental preparations especially all kinds of stew. My father would make good stew that I would thoroughly relish. I enjoy cooking and experiment with a lot of dishes.

But an egg preparation wins hands down. People who know me come down especially to have the omelet I make.

It comes naturally to me while for other dishes I need a recipe book. My daughter Madhura is a good cook and she makes excellent seafood, especially Bombay duck.
