London: A mum fed up with all the football on TV decided to have a go at online bingo instead – and immediately scooped £1.3million. Lucky Lisa Potter, 33, only had a dabble because partner Terry Goodman was ignoring her as he sat glued to the Euro championships.

And she was stunned when she instantly hit the jackpot thanks to a £5 bet.

The mum-of-three turned to Ladbrokes Bingo on her laptop while Terry was engrossed in Spain’s 4-0 victory over Ireland on Thursday night.

Lisa, from Witney, Oxfordshire, said: “I had a spare minute and wanted to get away from the football so I decided to log on. As soon as I saw the size of the jackpot I thought it was worth a go – and I couldn’t believe my eyes when it said that I’d won. I can’t remember much after – it’s all a blur.

My kids came into the room and we all started screaming. I’ve given them the day off school and we’re all still running around today – it’s like a madhouse in here.”

The win is the third highest in the history of the website – and the most paid out on a similar game in the last three years. Lisa now plans to treat her family to a luxury holiday, as well as splashing out on a new car and new house.
