Rekha, like her Bollywood counterpart of the same name, always wanted a man like Amitabh Bachchan. Someone who’s tall, dark and handsome, so when cupid rolled his dice and sent Rakesh, a six footer into her life, she didn’t find many reasons to say no to the man’s proposal.

Likewise, Rakesh was smitten by Rekha’s beauty and brains. The match was made in heaven, the two decided to tie the knot and with that many wonderful things have happened in their lives.
They are in charge of a business that’s become a raging success and are doting parents to an extremely intelligent three-year-old son who they claim knows the capital of many countries. Rakesh and Rekha Jain run Pune’s top payroll outsourcing company, Paysquare.
By the looks of Rakesh, you’re not surprised when he tells us that he’s a Chartered Accountant. His bright eyes measure your worth with astute detail — the man was born to be a number cruncher. Rekha, wearing a business suit, comes across as a thorough professional.
She smiles when she has to and participates in the conversation at the right moment. “I am very impatient while my husband has infinite patience,” she confesses. Her son at home, she thinks it’s her duty to spend quality time with him. Come Sunday, the couple takes their kid out to have a rollicking time.
Like every newly married couple, Rakesh and Rekha had many dreams. She knew her husband was passionate about starting Paysquare. “I remember my brother telling me about starting a payroll outsourcing company. I quit my job as I was impressed with the idea. Initially, it was just me.
Selling our concept to the customers was tough in the beginning,” says Rakesh. Then the marriage happened. “I remember asking him a lot of questions like a reporter,” smiles Rekha. She wanted to see Rakesh’s dream through and joined him to run Paysquare.
While Rakesh is involved with the operations, Rekha took it upon herself to look after sales and business development. “It’s a great arrangement. I don’t have to worry about getting new business as my wife takes care of that,” says Rakesh. What started as a garage company, today, employs over 300 people.
They have offices in Pune, Mysore, Hyderabad and Nashik. “Our company’s goal is to have a pan India presence,” says Rakesh. It’s not difficult to see how hard the Jains have worked to establish their business, but those days of grinding toil is over, it’s time for them to enjoy what they have built and dream another dream.
