City company is providing a crucial component for India’s second moon mission set for 2015

The test of the connectors was done successfully in the Bhosari unit of the company. Other scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had visited Bhosari several times for the same. After their satisfaction with the quality of the product, ISRO has placed an order for the connectors. Informing about the functions of the umbilical connectors in the launch vehicle, Sunil Patil, regional marketing manager of Amphenol said. “The umbilical connectors help the satellite in the orbit of moon.” The company is working in the field of aerospace components for 30 years now. The company has the AS 9000 certificate that is required for supplying aerospace components. Under the leadership of Robert John, the CEO of company, 515 employees are working in the Bhosari for supplying the components for the moon mission as well as India’s prestigious missile programme Brahmose. Patil said, “We are supplying our products for the defence projects from the last 30 years. Till date we have provided cable assembly units and connectors for three vehicles and we have ordered for three vehicles which we are going to supply in the coming days,” added Patil. |
