Woman accuses live-in partner of making her 12-yr-old daughter watch porn before raping her. The suspect, a tempo driver who is now absconding, then allegedly tried to silence the girl by threatening to kill her mother and brother

In a shocking revelation, a 12-year-old girl, the daughter of a cutlery seller, is alleged to have been sexually exploited by her mother’s live-in partner. He is accused of making the girl watch porn movies with him, raping her and then trying to silence her by threatening to kill her mother and brother. The incident came to light when the girl’s mother, Rekha Survase (name changed to protect identity), lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against her partner Suraj Singh alias Sagar Singh Babu Singh Rajput alias Jothiwal at Bhosari police station on Sunday. Now, Rajput has done a disappearing act and the police is on the look-out for him. Sub-inspector Mahadev Naikwade, investigating the case, refused to comment on the case, saying it would affect the investigations. The girl’s mother also declined to speak. According to the FIR, about eight years ago, the girl’s mother walked out on her husband and came to live in Pimpri-Chinchwad with the victim and her younger brother. She had allegedly got acquainted with Suraj Singh, a tempo driver, before that and the two began living together some four years ago. The FIR says Surekha was alone at home on the afternoon on October 24, when Suraj Singh returned home and forced her to watch a porn movie with him before raping her. The FIR added that Suraj Singh then tried silencing the girl with threats of killing her mother and brother. However, the FIR said the girl confessed the entire incident to her mother after a few days. Police officials say they are probing into Suraj Singh’s suspected criminal past. They further say that he is alleged to have been a suspect in some cases reported in Aurangabad and Nashik. |
