If you want to know the details of ongoing development works in the city, here’s good news. Your civic body is going to make videos of the present status of ongoing development projects running under the Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) available.

With this facility, you will be able to keep track on the development of your city.

The Urban Development Department has directed all muncipal corporations in the state, which have projects that have been implemented under JNNURM, that the development should be made available in the public domain.

Therefore, civic bodies should record the present status of the JNNURM projects and put it up on the official website of the respective civic bodies.

Manu Kumar Shrivastav, secretary, Urban Development Department informed Pune Mirror, “The department has asked all muncipal corporation across the state to document developmental projects under JNNURM as recordings and make the videos available in the public domain. To do this, they have to put it up on their websites.”

Praveen Ashtikar, the officer on special duty for JNNURM in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), said, “Presently, the PMC is working on a documentary on the JNNURM Projects that have been completed in Pune till date."

"The film will be screened in Delhi, at a conference to be held on December 3 to mark four years of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission in the country. It will also be screened at various seminars.

“After the screening in Delhi, we are going to made it available on PMC’s official website,” said Ashtikar. “The idea behind the project is to show the changes that have taken place because of these projects, he added.

The documentary, which is now in the making, has clips of old photographs of certain areas before the JNNURM project was taken up and photographs of the situation after completion. This will show the projects impact.
