Hackers from the city have just won international recognition through a unique event. In a first of its kind occurence, an international conference of hackers is being organised in the city. The conference is a fruit of the co-operation between network specialists in India and United Kingdom. ClubHack is an initiative to bring the best hackers of India out on a open and common platform. It will facilitate interaction between hackers across the globe. The motive, according to proponents of ClubHack, is to showcase the strength and knowledge of Indian hackers to the world. In its third edition, the convention will see hackers from all over the country and some celebrated hackers across the globe come together to talk shop. The event will take place from December 5 to 7 at Corinthians Club. Besides technical talks and paper presentations and workshops, the event will also see a round-table conference. Rohit Srivastawa, founder of ClubHack said, “We had submitted a proposal for co-operation to the British Council. They accepted the proposal because of which the event is being organised in association with UK Science and Innovation Network, British High Commission in India and City University, London. The event is supported by IIM, Ahmedabad.” On the third day of the event, a round-table conference of eminent personalities in the hacking world from both countries will take place. The topics for the round-table conference is expected to be issues and challenges faced by both countries in the domain. The event will be open to anybody over 18 and with a sound knowledge of computers. However, the three-day conference is mostly targeted at information technology experts with specific knowledge of security issues. |
