This "Aye Ram, Gaya Ram," way of changing political parties should be stopped. One way to do this is to scrap our parliamentary model of government and go for the US method, where a President serves a full term, and the same goes for the Governors of all the 50 states (except if there is a recall, in which case a large number of signatures of registered voters need to be provided to the office of the Chief of Elections and then the states's voters vote). This way opportunists like BSY would not be able to blackmail their parties and the PM and all CMs would serve their full term. Based upon this then people may decide to vote for the PM and the CMs for a 2nd/3rd, etc. term. In terms of BSY, BSY wanted to enrich himself very quickly and allegedly (not yet proved in a court of law) became corrupt. Unlike Congress Party members, who have honed corruption skills since 1947, the BJP leaders who are corrupt are NAIVE and not having followed the Congress's footsteps of corruption, got caught and are now being charged by the authorities and the courts will decide in a year or may be in 25 YEARS!

This article is apt as it has come towards the end of the World retinoblastoma week. Also the treatment for this child is being provided free of cost at Sankara Eye Hospital as a part of the Nanna kannu programme for children

Dear Mahadeva, Don't get frustration over the issue of bride to your son. All these days you did not realize the professional hazard impact on your family and now it is time for you to modify your method of disposing unclaimed/orphan bodies more systematically rather bringing it home or involving the members of the family. The selfless yeomen service you are rendering can not be matched to any other great service on the earth. Certainly your son and others in the family will get suitable match for them. I wish and pray GOD to help you and your family

Whatever may the brickbats against MODI,it will not affect his future as a good, efficient and a non-corrupt chief minister, the country ever had in the past except a few who ruled the nation. Any effort to destabilise his Govt. is an exercise in futility.

This situation is highly disgusting and unacceptable. In my college, government polytechnic Ahmedabad, we dont have the facility for drinking water in this unbearable summer season. A brand new water cooler was bring in our department before a 6 months, but no officials is in mood to inaugurate it till the date despite of repeatedly complaining. The college is in filthy condition and looks like a dustbin. Dogs are wondering inside the classroom. No staff., No facility., No cleanliness., No canteen., No library., Nothing.. Really, Its a global gujarat..

Why suddenly BSY is supporting UPA chairperson, the reason behind is well known to him and to the electorates of karnataka. It is not a fact that UPA is protecting the corruption in central Govt. as the jailing of some politicians for involving in corrupt activities is an indication. Therefore the stand taken by BSY is not correct.

I fully endorse the view expressed by the reader in question,as BSY has determined to oust DVS by hook or crook, and as per media reports it is alleged some of his supporters have turned their back, which shows that they have no faith in BSY's leadership.

The ban imposed about the use of tinted glasses in vehicles of the common man should be made applicable to high ranking officials including high profiles,as there is no guarantee that these high ranking officials and high profiles would not violate the ban imposed. Let there be uniform rule irrespective of the position held by the persons concerned.

On today's article "Available for a song: GU convention centre", I would like to bring to your notice that I am aware of a conspiracy (though cannot reveal more details) where GU had to award a tender for one particular project. The insiders themselves sent dummy tenders (which quoted a higher rate) via their friend circles and/or other contacts and thus finally the contract was rewarded to a pre-decided person/company.

The fixing scandle in IPL matches are not surprising and it is going unabated since IPL-I. As we all see several crors of betting money is circulated during the matches and as given to understand even the franchises change the fate of the game according to their understanding and comfort. IPL( Indian polluted league) is just like a horse race or like any other gangling in the form of Cricket as it is loved by more numbers . The players caught/suspected in the sting operation are very small fishes and perhaps innocent. There many more leading players/ others who are part of the IPL involved in such scam and that should be brought out punished. I wish more Lalit modi's come out in IPL-5

These are all nothing new to our officials, we have the credit of being most corrupt state in the country. Compared to other states, caste and creed plays an important role in protecting the corrupt. No wonder honest officers of government departments are getting frustrated. Why the file has gone to the CMO's office-to subvert, clearly?
