it is not a new thing amoung kids, I remember my childhood where we place bets (1 rs- 10rs) when India pakistan match happens or something very interesting things happens around us. Even school games we keep bets like which student will get first rank or who comes first in running. We are now showing as if this is a new trend. anyway it is a news

It is good for Sri Modi to improve better equation with not only with other senior leaders of his own party but he should go ahead one more step forward, meet the leaders like Sri Nitish Kumar and other partners of NDA and convince them that he is a changed man acceptable to large section of all community and caste in the country and they should accept him as national leader. He should not have a ego that what he has done in Gujarat will not get him leadership in the country level but he has all required qualities to lead NDA from the front and the mood of the voters being against Congress, he should capitalize it by amending his qualities and mannerism to make himself acceptable to all, if not majority of the people in the country

This incident and many such incidents reported and published in media about becoming friends in Face book on MONDAY, Love Tuesday, Marry on Wednesday and end the life on Saturday reminding a elementary rhyme is an eye opener to all young girl who look for marriage and settlement in life, without going through the background, if they believe any one and everyone these things will be sure to happen. In the olden days that is why parents use to fix marriage alliance only through known relationship, if not once after confirming from known contacts of the boy and family and even in such cases many have been duped. Let girls take little care and caution while choosing their friends( late entry) and partners in life

Partha must not dream of taking Indians up to Australian swimming standards, he must take Indians up to Indian swimming standards that are much higher than Australian swimming standards. Being an Indian, he must train Indians to set new swimming standards to the world. Finally, he must take pride for doing all that for India, Indians and swimming.

This is a clear violation of what the groom did, first off he should be aware that an elephant is a living thing, second of all he should be aware of the laws of using an elephant and last, why can't he hire a house for the procession, in many weddings I had seen, the bride groom always come riding on a house. The government should not made such heinous act of ill treatment of an animal as a misdemeanor, but rather make it as a felony c harge.

Some of the moves and decisions of BCCI are arbitrary and authoritative as they feel that they are too big because of the money power, Not only sahara even others should pull out and teach lesson to BCCI also the Government should exercise control on BCCI transaction and put an end to misuse of the public collected funds to their whims and fancy

This should not only effectively implemented in CMO alone but in most of the other offices attached to ministers. We have seen in the past that even lower rank officers demand several benefits from police/revenue by quoting their CMO clout and get several privileges. I have seen indenting vehicles, accommodation at religious places, seats in prestigious schools/colleges and also run a racketing for getting government employments etc by misusing the name and office of CM and CMO. While taking they should screen and also constant vigilance should be maintained on them regularly otherwise they are the one who bring bad name and leak out the vital information to opposition parties to take advantage

Our taxing and legal system is very harsh on those who do not manipulate the records and submit proper account, on the other hand several hundred businessmen having no ethical values swindle money by making false declaration and fabrication of documents. While no one is against the Income for issuing notice, it is very sad that they do not act against the violators of rules and their main target for punitive action is small fishes in the salary class and impose fine even for a very small amount of few thousands and where as giants have not paid by finding some comfortable clause in the law beneficial to them, what about the interest for such Hugh defaulted sum of tax ?

No light sensors costs more than Rs. 2.50. I am an electronics engineer for the past 30 years and I have built many sensors like this. With other signal conditioning circuits, the cost will not be greater than Rs. 250/-. I can prove this. I do not know how the bloated up cost of Rs. 25000/- per senor has been reported in your paper. A photosynthetic sensor will cost http://www.onsetcomp.com/products/sensors/photosynthetic-light which is NOT required for this application. There is some bright ideas behind this wasteful expenditure. Cheers Ravi

The article just took me back to my younger days in 1980s. Even three decades back similar situation existed. I too was a victim, without knowing scientific name mentioned in the report, especially in swimming pools. Later on i learnt to live with it. But i used to counter attack the one who bullied though ending up physically abused. Moreover, i used to have few good friends around to protect or to ease stress in such times. Abhishek might not have been so lucky, to have friends to say nothing wrong with it. Sad loss to his parents.

My sincere condolence to the parents, it is sad to loose a child and it is really painful. Such kids who bullied others do not have a heart nor they do not feel remorse on what they are doing, most feel that this is some joke and fun do act to bully others in order to be the so called popular in schools. The government of Karnataka should make a harsh strict laws to combat bullying and not to try such kids as minors, but rather try them as an adults. Schools today must combat such heinous act like bullying and must black list such kids who indulged in bullying for life and should not be allowed to continue in any schools.
