Twice before, the actor has delayed the film’s shoot. Now for the third time, Aamir Khan has postponed Dhoom 3’s shoot, by 10 days. Talaash and his ambitious television show were the reasons earlier.

This time round, he is not ready with the hairstyle he wants to sport for the film. So, while Aamir was supposed to start shooting at Yash Raj Studios June 29 onward, he will now face the camera from July 7.

After four to five days at YRF, he will fly off to Chicago for a long schedule that covers nearly 65-70 per cent of his role in the film. Aamir remained unavailable for comment but his spokesperson confirmed the news.
 
A source close to the film stated: “Aamir always wants to be perfectly ready before he throws himself into a role. This time is no exception.” Word is Aamir has asked his favourite hairstylist Avan Contractor, who has been a constant in most of his films including and after Dil Chahta Hai, to do the job.

“The two of them will sit together and zero down on a few hairstyles over the next three days, which will make Aamir look like the gymnast he plays in the film.” Meanwhile, Aditya Chopra is grinning and bearing it.

“He knows the value Aamir will bring to the film,” said our source. It is learnt Aamir along with Aditya Chopra and director Victor Acharya will arrive at a mutual consensus soon.
 
However, Dhoom 3 has started rolling with Jackie Shroff, who plays Aamir’s father, having already shot his portions in Capitol Cinema about a fortnight ago.
